So I was on the Running Man tag and saw that MBLAQ was going to be on and got really excited UNTIL I saw this (going to remain unnamed) person who got excited about just Lee Joon.

#unfortunately so is the rest of his shitty basic group « the tag

I don’t give a shit about you being excited for just Joon BUT don’t call the rest of the group HIS shitty basic group. 

I usually don’t specifically talk about ONE certain person but this is seriously ridiculous. I mean everyone has their bias in a group, sure, but this tag is unnecessary.

I hope you realize after SISTAR’S win today that you REALLY need to promote the girls more AND THE RIGHT WAY. (Not that I’m hatin’ on SISTAR for their win because I like their song)

I know that they are going to be on shows like Strong Heart, Star King, and Running Man… BUT COULDN’T YOU HAVE DONE THAT IN THE BEGINNING OF THEIR PROMOTIONS? And don’t you have the power to have all the girls on some shows?? Yes, I know just because all of them are on doesn’t mean they are going to get any air time but still! 

I swear, I am a B2UTY but if you promote B2ST WAY better than you did 4minute I might have to go to Korea and take the girls away from you because they do not deserve the treatment they are getting just because they aren’t as popular as B2ST. And plus, blame that on yourself! If you gave them more opportunities or give them better music (I love Volume Up but the choreo is so bleh compared to Muzik and HUH) then they would probably a lot more popular than they are now, instead of being called Hyuna and her group.

I see on Tumblr, Allkpop, and other places, people complaining or making fun of KPOP groups and their ‘English’

• MOST(not all) groups/singers put English in their songs in order for people around the world to be able to sing along [at least in the chorus]
• I hope some of you realize that some letters that exist in English DON’T EXIST IN THE KOREAN ALPHABET which is why they say it differently 

For example: The letter F,  In the Korean alphabet the sound F doesn’t exist. Which is why you hear people saying in Korea: 4minute [포미닛] as PO MIN IT.
Also they don’t really have letters for R [the “r” in korean is an L sound so thats why when you see Korean shows the say ‘leally’], and Z also[Zico - 지코 - Giko]

• It’s the same thing for Korean -> English, Koreans have something called 쌍 (Double Consonant) That doesn’t exist in the English language..

For example: The word Ulzzangs [얼짱] — technically the spelling is wrong. Because the way it should be said/spelled is uljjang. Or another work 떡볶이 ddukbokki..

• In conclusion, their pronunciation in English is not ANY better than you “trying” to sing in Korean so unless you are Korean or can speak fluently…I wouldn’t say their English ‘bothers’ you. Plus, I’m pretty sure if you recorded yourself singing Korean you would sound more ridiculous than the KPOP singers singing in English. No you say? Record a song and let me fix all your pronunciation mistakes.
• How do I know all this? I’M KOREAN. Born and raised in the US but I speak/read/write fluently in Korean. Yes sometimes I wonder why Koreans put English in their songs BUT I think they do it so people around the world could sing along. If all the songs you liked had ONLY Korean and you tried to tell your friend to listen to a certain song and tried to sing it to them how far do you think you could get with that? 
  
  

All I’m saying is appreciate the fact that English(even if it isn’t “perfect”) is put into songs like SNSD - Gee, The Boys, 2PM - HANDS UP, BIG BANG - FANTASTIC BABY, 4MINUTE - MUZIK, SISTAR - SO COOL, SUPER JUNIOR - SORRY SORRY ETC. Imagine those songs without the English!!
**Yes I know some groups speak/sing in English better than others but still…
